Flight Fare Index 2026
What a flight actually costs on the routes we track — the cheapest one-way fare we can find for each, with the departure date, the airline, the number of stops and the great-circle distance. Every price is pulled from our partner fare feed and refreshed daily.
16 of 16 routes currently have a live price · cheapest right now: €32 · refreshed 20 Sep 2026, 20:49 UTC

The index
Cheapest first. No fare seen means our feed had no priced offer for that route when this page was last refreshed — it is an absence of data, not a fare of zero, so we print no number at all. The route page still compares live prices.

Methodology
For each curated route we record the single cheapest one-way offer returned by our partner fare feed (Travelpayouts/Aviasales), which we also publish on that route's own page. Prices are in euros and include the fare our feed reports, not taxes added at checkout by the airline — always confirm on the booking site.
- Cheapest one way — the lowest-priced offer across the dates our feed returned. A return trip normally costs more than twice this figure, so treat it as a floor, not a booking estimate.
- Cheapest departure — the date attached to that fare. Fares move with demand, and ours is a snapshot from the refresh shown above, so check the date before assuming it still exists.
- Distance — great-circle distance between the two airports, computed from airport coordinates. The flown distance is always longer.
- Refresh — every morning, by a scheduled job that refills the fare caches and drops this page's snapshot, so the index shows the new fares immediately instead of up to an hour later. The page itself is rebuilt from our own caches and never queries the fare API in a reader's request. A rebuild that finds no prices anywhere is held for minutes, not the usual hour, so the index stops implying the feed is empty as soon as it isn't.
- No fare seen — no priced offer came back for that route at the last refresh. It is an absence of data, not a fare of zero, and the JSON carries it as
nullwith"fare": "no-fare-observed"so nothing has to be inferred from an empty cell.
The index covers the routes we have written up in full, which is deliberate: a fare with no route page behind it is a number without context. Each city also has a full travel guide, and our Price of a Plate index covers what a meal costs in 56 countries.
