How does the Daily Food Quiz work?
Every day there is one mystery dish with a photo. You pick which of the listed countries it comes from and the answer is shown straight away, with a link to the dish in the Food Atlas. You get one answer per day, so think before you tap.
When does the next dish appear?
At midnight Central European Time (Europe/Zagreb). Everybody gets the same dish on the same day, and the countdown on the page shows how long is left. If the page has been open past midnight, reload it to get the new dish.
How is my streak counted?
Answer correctly on consecutive days and the streak grows by one each day. A wrong answer or a skipped day resets it to zero. Your longest streak and your accuracy are kept as well.
Is there a leaderboard, and are my stats saved?
There is no leaderboard and no account. Your streak, best streak and accuracy live only in this browser, so they reset if you clear site data or switch device. The result you share is just text you choose to send.
Why can I not see the answer in the page source?
The answer is checked on our server after you tap, not shipped with the page, so nobody can read it from the source. For the same reason dishes whose own name already gives the country away, such as a dish called after its country, are not used as the daily question.
