Frequently asked questions

How do I share my itinerary?
Use the share buttons under the planner. The link carries the whole plan inside the address itself, squeezed into a short code, so there is nothing stored on our servers. Anyone who opens it sees your plan read-only and can press "Make my own copy" to edit a private copy in their own browser. Do not put booking codes or other private details in a plan you plan to share.
Is my itinerary saved?
Yes, in your own browser (local storage), so it is still there when you come back on the same device. It is not sent anywhere, there is no account, and clearing site data removes it. If a plan matters, use "Copy as text" or print it to PDF as a backup.
How many days and stops can I plan?
Up to 21 days with up to 20 stops on each day. Every stop can have a time, a short note and a category: sight, food, transport, stay or other. The totals above the plan count your stops and meals.
How do I reorder things or move a stop to another day?
Use the up and down buttons on any stop, which work with a keyboard and on phones. On a desktop you can also drag a stop by its handle. To move a stop to a different day, press the edit button and pick the day. "Duplicate day" copies a whole day, and "Sort by time" puts the stops that have a time in order.
Why does it say my plan is too long for a link?
A link can only carry so much text, and we cap it at 6,000 characters so it works in messaging apps and email. Very detailed plans can go over that. Use "Copy as text" instead and paste it into a message, a note or a document.
Can I add my itinerary to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook?
Yes. Set a start date, then press "Add to calendar (.ics)" to download a standard calendar file and open or import it in any calendar app. Stops without a time become all-day events, stops with a time become one-hour events in your local time, and each day gets the right date. The file is built in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
How do I save it as a PDF?
Press "Print / Save as PDF" and choose "Save as PDF" as the destination in your browser print window. The print version drops the menus and buttons and keeps just the day-by-day plan.
