Frequently asked questions

How are the days until my trip counted?
We count whole calendar days from today to the start date, using the date on your own device, so the number changes at your local midnight. The exact line underneath counts down to 00:00 on the first day of the trip, which is why the hours may look like a fraction of a day more than you expect.
Why does the countdown ignore my departure time?
The tool counts to the start of the day, because a flight at 06:00 and one at 22:00 are both "trip day". Add a day of margin for the real flight if you are using the hours figure to plan around it.
Is my trip saved anywhere?
Only in this browser, using local storage on your device, so it is still here when you come back. Nothing is sent to us or stored on a server. Use the clear button to remove it, or clear your browser data.
How do I share my countdown?
Use the share buttons or copy the link. The link contains your trip name and dates, so anyone who opens it sees the same countdown without signing up. Avoid putting anything private in the trip name.
