Chebakia is a quintessential Moroccan sweet, deeply tied to Ramadan and festive gatherings. Its precise origins are debated, but it is widely believed to have been influenced by the culinary traditions of Andalusia, brought to Morocco by Muslim refugees and migrants centuries ago.
