Mooncake
Dense moulded pastry eaten at the Mid-Autumn Festival.
About Mooncake
A tender, stamped pastry shell encloses a dense filling of lotus-seed or red-bean paste, often hiding a salted egg yolk that stands in for the full moon. Sliced into small wedges, it is shared during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
