Bali, Indonesia Travel Guide

Temples, rice fields and surf

Why visit Bali

Ubud’s rice terraces, the cliff temple of Uluwatu and surf beaches at Canggu and Kuta make Bali Indonesia’s island escape. It is small — you can base yourself in Ubud for culture and drive an hour to the coast for waves. Temples, waterfalls and warung meals cost little, which is why Bali remains the default first stop for Southeast Asia.
